What is 3 G ?

3G ( Third generation technology ) is the new mobile technology .......standard .
Mobile multimedia , fast access mobile broadband and internet can be used.
Video calls (ie. the person on the other side can see and talk thru phone) , can be made.
Online TV viewing,email , video and audio download facility would also be available.


- In order to get 3G services you need to have/own a 3G phone.
Presently , you can get a 3G phone for around 7,000 Rs.

- Presently , with these normal SIM cards , 3G services can't be attained .
for this special " USIM " ( Universal Subsciber Indentification Module ) is a must.
SIM capacity 256 KB is required . These will be provided by the Telecom vendors only.

As of now , we have Sim Cards with 16 KB and 32 KB capacity only.
Using 3G , one can make internet , video calls very cheaply and Play Video games .
Minimum download speed would be 380 Kbps to around 8 Mbps. For these network security
is very high.

INTERNET service :

Through Mobile , one can use USB cable or Blue Tooth or Infrared to connect to laptop or computer and connect to Internet.
